Still adjusting to his injuries, Cassian struggles with being left out of the action, assisting Princess Leia in a small mission control base. When the action falls right into his lap in the form of a terrible earthquake, he finds himself in charge of a mismathched crew of survivors, mostly non-combatant.
How can a battered spy step forward to understand and lead these people, so different from each other and from him?
It's all about picking up the pieces, and building to survive.

Beyond the road, a young fellow in Scottish garb leans on the fence of an empty field- and looks right at him. He must realize he's been spotted, and Doctor Foreman thinks he can see him tipping his head silently at him.
By the time he reaches that open part of the road, the boy is gone.
A threat is coming, and the figure known as the Doctor must dissappear for a time. Jamie and Victoria refuse to be left safe behind. And as the weeks stretch, their vigil over one oblivious Doctor Foreman takes an unexpected turn.
Is it possible the Doctor made a big mistake? If only he was here for them to ask...
