Ecco: Dolphin Feverdream

In the early ninties, Sega released a video game called Ecco: Dolphin Defender Of The Future, made by a small european company and telling the tale of a sentient dolphin that goes back (and forwards?) in time to save the world. It is apperently infamous for being weirdly difficult, or something- I genuinely don't know almost anything about it from a gaming perspective. I struggled with the tutorial, and couldn't be bothered to fight my way further through it.
No, the reason I care about Ecco- and thought you might care- might be indicated by the image you've clicked. The glorious Tom Baker, Doctor Who's iconic Correctly-Overrated Fourth Doctor, narrates some of the game's cutscenes, and between the worldbuilding, the graphics, and his signature grave bass...
You need to watch at least a bit of this video. It's not the funniest thing ever, but... it's a trip and a half.

My favorite part is the Dolphin Virtues.
